Livonia City FC is excited to announce that the club has been accepted to United Women’s Soccer (UWS) League One for the 2023 season. LCFC makes the move to the top division of the national pro-am league after spending two seasons in UWS League Two.
“We are thrilled to welcome Livonia City to the Midwest Conference of United Women’s Soccer,” said League Commissioner Joe Ferrara. “The organization has shown a commitment to grow the women’s game and we are excited to help Livonia City continue to provide a pathway for their players.”
Coach Ken Shingledecker will lead our Women’s team as they compete in the UWS1 Midwest Conference with the conference alignment and schedule to be announced shortly.
“We’re very excited to join UWS1 for the 2023 season. This has been an extremely positive offseason for the club so far and being able to continue to grow our Women’s team is an important part of our club’s vision,” said LCFC Club Chair Ben Rode. “It’s awesome to see how much the Women’s game is growing in the Midwest and throughout the US and we look forward to the high-level competition within the Midwest Conference for 2023.”
All UWS1 home games will be played at Schoolcraft College in Livonia. Additional news about our Women’s team, including player signings, we’ll be announced in the coming weeks.
