Livonia City FC has announced the return of Nick Mortensen as the club’s Strength and Conditioning Coach. Entering his 4th season with the club, Nick is an extremely experienced health and wellness educator that has implemented numerous exercise, nutrition and health programs.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Health Fitness in Preventative and Rehabilitative Programs from Central Michigan University, a Master of Science in Exercise and Nutrition Science from Lipscomb University and is on track to finish his Doctor of Philosophy in Health and Human Performance from Concordia University Chicago this year.
Aside from working with LCFC, Nick is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Madonna University, an Adjunct Faculty and Online Course Developer at Aurora University in Illinois and a Medical Integration Coordinator at The Health & Fitness Center in Ann Arbor.
Club President, Craig Beebe, said: “We’re so fortunate to have Nick continue to be involved with the club and give us an upper hand in training and our preparation, as well as injury prevention.”
As our Strength and Conditioning Coach, Nick will work with both our men’s and women’s teams to create programs focusing on speed, agility, strength, and injury prevention, as well as assessing injuries and developing post-rehabilitation programs.
