Livonia City FC is proud to welcome back Phil Hayes to the LCFC staff as our Women’s MPSL Head Coach and Women’s First Team Assistant. With the club since 2017, Phil joins the women’s staff after serving as coach for the Men’s B team and U23 team in the past two seasons.
Along with coaching for LCFC, Hayes is the Head Coach for Riverview Gabriel Richard Girls Varsity, as well as JV Boys Head Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach at Livonia Churchill High School. Also, he recently joined the Milan Storm SC as Technical Director and coach, having previously held a coaching role with the Dearborn Jaguars.
Club President, Craig Beebe, said: “We’re glad to have Phil back with the club for another year. He’s been a great help for Gaven and our men’s teams and look forward to having him work with JB on growing our women’s side.”
Hayes added: “I’m ready to work with JB on developing our women’s teams and consider him a great friend, so we expect to have a strong coaching dynamic. We know that both the UWS2 and MPSL schedules will be competitive, but we’re ready for the challenge.”
Phil is currently working on obtaining his coaching licenses and aside from soccer, he also teaches in the Farmington Public School District.
