The United Women’s Soccer League Two (UWS2) season has arrived! Our Women finally kick off their season tomorrow night, as they travel to face Michigan Stars FC.
Heading in opening weekend, we look to get off to strong start in what we expect to be a very competitive Great Lakes Conference. Our conference opponents include AFC Plymouth, Corktown AFC II, Detroit City FC II, FC Midland, Grand Haven Admirals, Legends FC, Michigan Stars FC, North Oakland Soccer Company (NOSC), Rebels FC and Thundercats SC.
While this will be our first match of the season, a few teams have already started their season. Corktown, one of the expected favorites to win the conference is off to a 1-0-1 start and sits on top of the table with 4 points after a draw with Grand Haven and a victory over Michigan Stars. Thundercats SC, a new club based out of New Baltimore, MI came out of the gates very strong with a resounding 12-0 win over AFC Plymouth.
Key Matches
- Our first home match of the season will be next week, May 27th where we’ll host Michigan Legends
- On June 27th, we host Corktown AFC II which we believe will be one of our biggest home matches of the season against a very strong Corktown squad
- We have two big away matches to end the season. On July 15th, we head to Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck to face Detroit City FC II, and then on July 18th we head to the West side of the state to take on Grand Haven Admirals

Coach Jeremiah “JB” Belton:
“I am very excited to get back to playing soccer matches. With everything we have all been through this last year, it’s great to see we have a chance to play. I know the ladies were disappointed with not getting to play an official season last summer so they have been working hard to prepare for this season.
Even though things still aren’t quite back to normal, we are excited to be part of a rapidly expanding league. As GM, Head coach, and #girldad it brings me great pleasure to be able to be part of this incredible growth in women’s soccer.
This summer promises to be filled with excitement and I look forward to leading the ladies to a very successful season!”
