August 6th, 2021 - Livonia City Football Club would like to announce that club founder and President, Craig Beebe will be stepping down to pursue other opportunities outside of soccer. Craig began this Club in 2015, and has been a vital part of our growth every step of the way since.
Current Club Director, Ben Lightner will be taking over the role of President. Ben has been with the Club for 6 years, both as a player and as a Board member. In addition to this change, fellow Club Director, Ben Rode will move into the Managing Director role, where he’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the Club.
Lightner had this to say about Beebe’s time with the club: “Craig’s commitment and dedication to soccer in Livonia is second to none. His vision and drive have helped guide Michigan amateur soccer forward in just a few short years and would not have been possible without his passion. It is a privilege to take over for him as President. I am honored at the opportunity to build on the LCFC footprint, both locally and nationally. Bigger things are still to come for Livonia soccer.”
Rode added: “I want to thank Craig for inviting me to the board last year and I appreciate the time we’ve had working together. I look forward to working with Ben and the rest of the LCFC staff to continue building the club”.
Beebe will assist with the transition process before fully stepping down this Fall.
