George Easter Returns to LCFC as Women’s GM & First Team Head Coach

We are excited to welcome back George Easter as the new Women’s General Manager, and First Team Head Coach for the 2022 Season!

George has over 12 years of coaching experience and has been coaching in the Women’s game for the last 3 years. Last season, he served as the Head Coach for the Detroit City FC Women’s Reserve team and was named the Great Lakes Conference 2021 Coach of the Year, after leading the DCFC Reserves to a UWS League 2 Conference Title. Before leaving for DCFC, George served as Reserve Team Head Coach of our Women’s side that competed in the Michigan Premier Soccer League in 2019 and Head Coach in the shortened 2020 season.

George also served as Associate Head Coach for the University of Michigan - Dearborn Women’s Soccer Program in 2021 and has been coaching Youth Club and Girls High School Varsity Soccer for the past decade. He also holds various coaching licenses, including his USSF National C License.

“I’ve always thought Livonia City FC has so much potential. The talent in the area is some of the best in the state, so leaving the club back in 2020 was a tough decision to make. That being said, God always has a plan for us, and his plan for me was to come back to LCFC and help the Women’s Program reach the next level. So I’m looking forward to building upon the history this club has already made in this large, yet small, Michigan Soccer community. We are looking at 2022 as the year that will hopefully be a strong rebuild year for both our Men’s and Women’s sides.” - Coach George

Club President, Ben Lightner added: “We’re very happy to bring George back to the club and are looking forward to working with him again, knowing he’ll be a great addition to our already awesome coaching staff.”

George will lead the Women’s side as they return for their second season in UWS League Two. So far, Corktown Hawks, Legends FC, Grand Haven Admirals, Michigan Jaguars, and the Michigan Stars are confirmed as our conference opponents. More information on final conference alignment and tryouts will be available soon.
