Livonia, Michigan (Nov. 1st, 2022) - In collaboration with the Livonia Athletic District (LAD), Livonia City FC has announced a World Cup-style tournament that will take place on November 26th and 27th at the LAD facility (14255 Stark Rd, Livonia, MI 48154).
The tournament will be a 5 v 5 format where each team with play in 3 group stage matches with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage of the Winner’s Bracker and the 3rd and 4th place teams moving on to the knockout stage of the Reserve Bracket. Each game will be 24 minutes (two 12-minute halves) and will have unlimited substitutions during stoppages in play.
Once all the teams are finalized, there will be a random drawing On November 25th to determine the groups. Each team will be allowed a maximum of 10 players on their roster.

After registering, teams will receive more information via email. Those looking to pay in cash will be able to make their payment anytime before the tournament at LAD directly or during check-in. Teams looking to pay with a card will receive a link for payment.
Format: 5 v 5 (4 outfield players and a GK)
Game Length: 24-minute games (Two 12-minute halves)
Referees? Yes, 1 referee per game
Number of teams: 8 to 16 teams
Number of Games: 4 minimum, 6 maximum
Roster Rules: 10 player maximum per team.
Cost: $300 per team. Payment is due by November 25th at the latest
Prize money: Top 3 finishers are awarded prize money, swag, and gift cards
