LCFC is proud to welcome another addition to our coaching staff with Will Dyer joining as Men’s Assistant Coach for the 2021 season.
Dyer currently serves as the Men’s Head Coach for Lawrence Tech University and just finished his 12th season with the school. He also coaches with Michigan Hawks Soccer Club out of Livonia.
Dyer is an Ohio State University alumnus, where he played under Coach Gary Avedikian before an injury, unfortunately, ended his playing career prematurely.
He got his coaching career started at Powell Soccer Clubs, before moving on to Detroit Country Day Middle School where he earned his National Soccer Coaches “National” License and holds a Class “B” License from the United States Soccer Federation.
Coach Dyer has been hard at work already by helping lead our men’s training sessions. Coach Gaven King said “I’ve known Will over the years and I know what he can bring to the club. He is a great coach with a high level of knowledge of the game. I and the rest of our staff are looking forward to working with him this season.”
Dyer shared his excitement as well, saying “I’ve been a fan of what the club has done for a few years now and I’m excited to join a top-class organization at Livonia City FC and work with some great Metro Detroit players. I’m thankful for Coach King and Craig Beebe for the opportunity and I’m looking forward to a great Spring/Summer with them and the boys!”.
We’ll have more news to share this week including the release of our tickets!
